Robert Novak always wrote accurate, thoughtful, concise, columns. If nothing else, he could be trusted to have his country's best interests at heart. He would criticize both sides of the aisle. He is one of the few newsmen I would have loved to have diner with.

Death of an engine.

To comply with "cash for clunkers" the engine is made to seize internally, by draining the oil from the crankcase and add a couple of quarts of water and "liquid glass". This plugs up oil galleys and causes bearings to fail. The end comes quickly. Witness:

Bailout, Jeep franchise

onight, after thirty years selling and servicing new Jeeps, the dealer I have been working for over six years will loose its Jeep franchise. No compensation, no payment for the tens of thousands of dollars in special tools forced upon by franchise agreement. All of the mandated training of dealer personnel is money lost.

Let's hope that the community organizer does not try to save your livelihood!

D-Day

Please, remember the sacrifices 65 years ago at Normandy. I was honored, as a 19 year old Airman, to commemorate the D-Day landings in 1966. It was the first time I saw the beautiful cemeteries near the beaches.
